How to sync your calendar with Google or Microsoft Calendar
A guide to calendar synchronization: benefits, avoiding double bookings, step-by-step setup, and best practices.
Why calendar synchronization matters
Most therapists use a personal calendar for private commitments and a separate system for therapy appointments. This often leads to double bookings because you can't see all your commitments when scheduling a session. By syncing external calendars with your practice management system, you see everything in one place. Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or any ICS-compatible calendar — all events appear as an overlay in your therapy calendar.
Preventing double bookings
When all your calendars are synchronized, the system automatically detects conflicts. If you have a personal event at a time when a client wants to book, the system will prevent it. In Terapi.ka, external sync works via ICS feed. Simply copy the link from Google or Microsoft Calendar and add it in the settings. From that moment, events appear in your therapy calendar as read-only items.
Setup and best practices
Setting up synchronization takes just a few minutes. In Google Calendar, find the ICS link in calendar settings; in Microsoft, it's in the sharing options. Paste this link into Terapi.ka's settings and synchronization starts working. We recommend syncing all calendars that affect your availability — personal, family, and any other business calendars. This way, your booking page will always show only genuinely available time slots.
